LL Cool J - Billie Jean Dream

I wish I could post the lyrics. but still not up yet will update this post soon for the meantime listen to it. I'm really liking it. This is pure freestyle lol hahah

Article read here.
A teenaged LL Cool J rose to fame with one of his first hits "I Can't Live Without My Radio" almost 25 years ago, the same year that Michael Jackson returned to the top of the Hot 100 for his part in "We Are The World." The rapper counts the King of Pop as one of his formative influences, and now Jackson's recent passing has inspired him to re-envision the MJ classic, "Billie Jean." Billboard.com debuts LL Cool J's take, "Billie Jean Dream: Written by Michael Jackson," right here.

**you could listen to the song at Billboard.com too HQ audio**

"After hearing the tragic news of Michael Jackson's death, the lyrics for the 'Billie Jean' remix came to me in a dream," LL Cool J said. "Michael was one of my childhood idols and has always been a great inspiration to me."

In addition to the Jackson remix, LL Cool J has also announced a Michael Jackson tribute contest on his social networking site, Boomdizzle.com. Fans are invited to post Jackson tribute songs as well as homemade music videos for LL Cool J's "Billie Jean Dream."

Black or White: Wasn't nothin strange 'bout Michael Jackson

THIS IS A FRAKIN' GREAT READ!
i'm putting a link on my heed.
I suggest ya'll spread this article and
credit the man link it through his page.

Black or White: Wasn't nothin strange 'bout Michael Jackson

by @whatrickythinks

As soon as Michael Jackson had the bad luck to have his first tribute handled by the nincompoops at BET, I knew that this issue would start falling along racial fault lines. As soon as Jamie Foxx said "he's ours..a black man" and Al Sharpton smelled the spotlight I knew this would get OJ-ey real quick. I'm okay with that. I know that in my lifetime whites and blacks won't get along. Fuck it. I'm comfortable enough with my white friends to have semi-intelligent conversations about race.

So as I saw Bill O'Reilly trending on Twitter I looked and saw black folks really railing against Bill O's comments on MJ. An uncomfortable amount of the talk was really ignorant and uninformed. I wanted to "snatch the microphone" from them like McCain did when that stupid old lady said Barack was an Arab. Remember how McCain winced and shook his head like "No, no, no you stupid old hillbilly, stop, please, you're embarassing my campaign with this idiocy?" In his mind there were viable arguments against Barack Obama that didn't involve her rural stupidity. In my mind there are viable arguments against the Michael Jackson haters that don't involve ghetto stupidity. So I'd like to proceed with those. Now, I don't think the opposition to Michael Jackson as I've heard it could be called racist, even though it's coming almost uniformly from whites. I just think it's stupid and hypocritical.

Michael Jackson appeals to black people just like Frank Sinatra appeals to Italians or Manny Pacquiao appeals to Filipinos. Having a hero based on ethnicity is nothing new. People say Michael bleached his skin white, and had three white kids. He also had the blackest of upbringings. Look up Gary, Indiana and tell me Michael Jackson's not a black icon. I'm not a shrink and I can't analyze why Michael did what he did. Maybe he despised being black. He wouldn't be the first person. Who gives a fuck? Obviously not us black folk.

I've heard people say Michael Jackson was "strange" because, among other things, he "hated the skin in which he lived" and had so much plastic surgery. A celebrity had plastic surgery? That's as shocking as a sunrise. Michael Jackson was vain and was insecure about the way he looked. Yea, I don't know anyone like that.

If you aren't vain and insecure then I would ask women to please go to a social event without makeup. Don't cover up those bags under your eyes or those blemishes. I'd ask gentlemen to not try to comb over their bald spot. Or try to tease their hair in such a way that it hides their thinning locks. What hair you have left, please don't try to hide the greys with color. Girdles and wonderbras have to go as well. Those unnatural fat burners surely must be eliminated.

Michael Jackson was weird because he slept in a hyperbaric chamber? If that's weird what do you call laying in a tanning bed?

Is it weird to drastically increase the chances of getting cancer just so you can get a little darker? I guess about as weird as someone bleaching their skin.

On the "He's a pedophile" issue, my opinion is this: 60% of me thinks Michael Jackson did something beyond sleeping in the same bed as children. That's my opinion, however. Personally, I wouldn't let my young child sleep in the same bed as a 40 year old man and I wouldn't let my kids stay with Michael Jackson. But sleeping in the same bed as kids is not a criminal act. He was found not guilty of child molestation. And lest anyone think that his trial was hijacked by "dumb niggers" like the O.J. Trial, the racial makeup of the trial was as follows: 7 Whites, 4 Hispanics, and 1 Asian. No Blacks. I imagine they had a much more informed opinion about the allegations than you did, right? Not guilty.

It's not like anyone hasn't made up being sexually assaulted and everyone just assumed the accused was guilty. Duke Lacrosse Team, anyone?

I can tell you who definitely was a pedophile: Elvis Aaron Presley. When he started messing with Priscilla Presley she was 14 and he was 24. No one disputes this. Priscilla said that they didn't have actual intercourse until they were married, but they did other things that were sexual. So assuming that's true, Elvis was 69ing with a 14 year old girl. That's absolutely a criminal act, even in Kentucky. So if you're not into supporting child molesters, you need to burn those Elvis records. I didn't hear anyone telling the Honky Tonk Man to stop impersonating a pedophile.

Drugs? Really? We're upset that an entertainer abused drugs? The Beatles did every drug known to man and probably made the best music known to man because of it. The "greatest songwriter that ever lived" Bob Dylan, introduced marijuana to them. Elvis? Please. Marilyn Monroe is without question the biggest icon of American beauty and she was a drug-addled homewrecker. I'm not asking you to take down their posters or pictures from your office. Don't ask me why I'm interested in MJ.

In addition, let me ask you some questions. Are you addicted to porn? Jack off much? Do you have a vibrator or dildo or maybe a vibrating dildo? That's basically what drug addiction is: searching for that "by yourself buzz" It's often a victimless crime. However, how about drinking? When was the last time you've driven drunk? I go to bars all the time and I damn sure don't see every person getting into cabs or having designated drivers. What's worse: a drunk driver or a person who is addicted to painkillers?

Michael Jackson's death was a monumental event. Easily the biggest event of the Internet era. There is no better indicator of what's inside a person's mind than what they search for on the Internet when no one's around. Yahoo said MJ's death was the most searched item in history. The non-stop coverage was commensurate to the level of interest. And if you believe in some hokey "code of journalism" wake up and smell the capitalism, please.

If you really cared about what was going on in the world, you know where to find it. Every single link on cnn.com wasn't devoted to Michael Jackson. In newspapers every article wasn't devoted to him. In no way did his death stop "more important" news from being reported, except on the aptly named "idiot box." Do you only want to see news on the "idiot box?" If you're illiterate, I understand. But if you are, you need to stop wasting time complaining about Michael Jackson coverage and learn to fuckin read.

Apparently you didn't realize this already, so let me tell you again. Arguably the most famous person who EVER LIVED died; someone who sold 750 million records. Perspective: That's like if everyone in America had 2.5 Michael Jackson records. Basically Michael Jackson sold more records than there are hands in America. Can you imagine how much money Michael Jackson's talent generated and will continue to generate? 1 billion people watched the memorial. How many people in the history of mankind have ever had 1 billion people watch anything they did? You cannot diminish Michael Jackson. If you try you might as well call Mt. Everest a hill.

So everything about the Michael Jackson death that you loathe, likely makes up a large part of who you are. To paraphrase the great Snoop Doggy Dogg and Dr. Dre "When you dis Mike you dis yourself...Hell, yeah"

"Nothing But the Truth"

Nothing but the Truth
by Roger Ebert| review page here.

Alan Alda has a scene in "Nothing But the Truth" where he reads a dissenting Supreme Court opinion defending the right of journalists to protect confidential sources. I assumed the speech was genuine, and was surprised to learn that the case inspiring the film was not heard by the Supreme Court. In fact the speech was written by Rod Lurie, the writer and director of the film, who would make an excellent Supreme if writing opinions were the only requirement. It was so soundly grounded in American idealism that I felt a patriotic stirring.

The film is obviously inspired by the case of Judith Miller, a New York Times reporter who served 85 days in prison for refusing to name her source in the Valerie Plame affair. That was the case in which Vice President Cheney's top aide blew the cover of a CIA agent in order to discredit the agent's husband, who investigated reports that Niger sold uranium to Saddam Hussein. He found no such evidence. The uranium story was part of the web of Bush-Cheney lies about WMD that were used to justify the Iraq war.

The case is complicated, but if you know the general outlines, you can easily interpret Lurie's fictional story as a direct parallel to Miller/Valerie Plame/Joseph Wilson, though the names and specific details have been changed. In real life, Miller's reporting, accuracy and objectivity were sharply questioned, and Lurie wisely sidesteps history to focus on the underlying question: Which is more important, the principle of confidentiality, or national security? Trying to deal with the real Miller story would have trapped the film in a quicksand of complications.

I'm sure some readers are asking, why don't I just review the movie? Why drag in politics? If you are such a person, do not see "Nothing but the Truth." It will make you angry or uneasy, one or the other. That Bush lied to lead us into Iraq is a generally accepted fact, and the movie regards a few of the consequences.

Lurie however has more on his mind than a political parable. The movie is above all a drama about the people involved, and his actors are effective playing personalities, not symbols. Kate Beckinsale is Rachel Armstrong, the reporter for the "Capitol Sun-Times." Vera Farmiga is Erica Van Doren, the outed spy. Matt Dillon plays prosecutor Patton Dubois, obviously intended as U. S. prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald, now so involved in the case of our fascinating former Illinois governor. Alda is the high-priced Washington lawyer hired by the newspaper to defend Rachel. Angela Basset is the newspaper's editor, under pressure to tart up coverage, trying to stand firm. And this is interesting: There is a wonderful performance by Floyd Abrams as the federal judge; in real life, he was Miller's attorney.

Armstrong and Van Doren play suburban Washington soccer moms whose children attend the same school. They know each other by sight. In possession of the leak, the reporter asks the agent point-black if it is true, and the agent replies in terms Justice Scalia does not believe decent people use in public. It is a fierce scene.

Dubois, the prosecutor, calls Armstrong as a witness in his investigation of the leak, and she refuses to name her source. That begins her harrowing ordeal in jail, where eventually she has been behind bars longer than any sister prisoner. She will not tell, even though this decision estranges her husband (David Schwimmer), alienates her young son, and paints her as a heartless mother who places job above family.

How she is treated seems to go beyond reasonable punishment. Dillon, as Dubois, is positioned as the villain, but objectively he is only doing his job, and Dillon says he played the role as if he were the film's good guy. Alda comes on strong as a man not above boasting of his expensive Zegna suit, but grows so involved that he goes pro bono. The dire costs to both women are at the heart of things.

Lurie, who is a powerful screenwriter, is freed by fiction to do two very interesting things. (1) He presents the issues involved with great clarity; (2) He shows that a reporter's reasons for concealing a source may be more compelling than we guess. What is deeply satisfying about "Nothing But the Truth" is that the conclusion, which will come as a surprise to almost all viewers, is not a cheat, is plausible, and explains some unresolved testimony.

"Nothing But the Truth" is a finely-crafted film of people and ideas, of the sort more common before the movie mainstream became a sausage factory. It respects the intelligence of the audience, it contains real drama, it earns its suspense, and it has a point to make. In the ordinary course of events, it would have had a high-profile release and plausibly won nominations. But the economic downturn struck down its distributor, the film missed its release window, and its life must be on DVD. It is far above the "straight-to-DVD" category, and I hope filmgoers discover that.

This is a really nice film. recently showing in my country which is a shame its really nice. Now go grab your DVDs!

Ponders on Quotes

A truth's initial commotion is directly proportional to how deeply the lie was believed.
When a well packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generation's,
truth will seem utterly preposterous and it's speaker a raving lunatic.

ain't that a sad reality, damage's been done.
that's why I'm averting fruther damage because

Top Ten Questions Everyone SHOULD Be Asking About Michael Jackson

Top Ten Questions Everyone SHOULD Be Asking About Michael Jackson

I'd love to post the whole thing but it's long for this blog post so go on just move your mouse then click the link. it's a must read article. I repeat A MUST READ ARTICLE.

and after you've read it well here are some of my thoughts...

#10.

now that's a sad fact. just go on and read the post.

#8
okay I have no issue regarding that I've seen fathers who toss their kids up in the air since the incident happened it was no biggie for me, yes I can say that the it should be talked about but not like make it a big BIG deal out of it. like I said I've seen things a lot more dangerous from what he did.

#7
this topic regrading his health has gone way out of board. The media shoud shut up!Now everybody becomes a doctor now with their own diagnosis when it comes to Michael. Let the facts speak for itself! shees go and google VITILIGO and LUPUS read about the effects of the disease! Ignorant scumbags!

#6
Regarding Joe Jackson. I have no comment I don't know the man and him on interviews, Michael on his dad just gives me one side of the story and mini clips in which I cannot comment on the man for who he really is. Pass on this one.

#5
Now, I totally understand why Mike hid his kids from the public...because anything that has MJ or anything related to MJ by blood or just plainly anything that has to deal with Michael Jackson equals to paparazzis and the media so I don't blame the man for doing this. Here's the thing now that the public knows their faces the already got pics all over them on the net. sad!

to those who still question this act from Michael! F*ck you! you don't have paps or people all over you when you shop or just by merely walking the street so SHUT THE F*CK UP!

#4
Oh this is nice! another HIStory from the man breaking reacords after records after records.....infinity.lol some interesting facts too.

"The fact is that Michael Jackson album sales are not only breaking all kinds of records, but he has posthumously breathed life into the long-time suffering music industry. Interestingly enough, when Thriller was first released in 1982, it single-handedly resurrected Epic Records, and the music industry as a whole, as they had been in a major slump for the past three years. History is repeating itself, and Thriller continues to maintain its title as the Best Selling Album of All Time in the Guinness Book of World Records as people are once again going out in droves (to real, physical stores, too!) to buy Michael Jackson albums.
"

#3
this was an interesting thing for me 'only in the US'. personal note and I don't want to elaborate on my statement.

#2
I may disagree on this remark, I want and Idol that is so human with full of mistakes and other sh!t like that and still be the best he can be--this is subjective--I believe that there's pure evil in us but also good in nature that if we choose the good side we can better ourselves...okay I maybe looking at this a lil' too much..but that's how I see it.

Show me flaws, I won't judge you're human, we all have flaws.

Michael Jackson is timeless.

MICHAEL JACKSON***FACTS BEHIND THE HATE

What do you think of when you hear the name, Michael Jackson? *****? Criminal? Great Entertainer? Businessman? Whatever you think of MJ, throw all your thoughts out of the window and let's examine some facts.

For years the media has labeled him "***** *****." What happened to MJ? Wasn't he the biggest thing in music at one point? When did he go crazy?

All anyone has to do is look when Michael started being portrayed as "Crazy." It wasn't during the "Thriller" years. It's cool being a song and dance man. That's what they want. DON'T DARE BECOME A THINKING BUSINESSMAN. DON'T DARE BUY THE BEATLES CATALOG. DON'T DARE MARRY ELVIS' DAUGHTER. DON'T DARE BEAT THE RECORD INDUSTRY AT THEIR OWN GAME. Michael started being labeled crazy when he began making business moves that no one had been successful at doing.

Michael took two cultural icons and shattered them to pieces. All our lives, we've been bombarded with 2 facts. The Beatles were the greatest group of all time and Elvis was the King of Rock and Roll. Michael bought the Beatles and married the King's daughter. (if that ain't literally sticking it to the man) If I wasn't a cynic, I'd say Michael did the Lisa Marie thing just to stick it to the people who consider Elvis the King.

The Beatles were great, but they weren't great enough to maintain publishing rights over their own songs.

Elvis was great, but he didn't write his songs. His manager, Col Tom Parker, was the mastermind behind Elvis ... keeping him drugged with fresh subscription pills and doing all the paperwork.

Michael could do no wrong as an entertainer. "Off the Wall," first solo artist with 4 top ten singles. "Thriller," the biggest selling album of all time, with a then record 7 top ten singles. "Bad," the first album to spawn 5 number one songs (even Thriller only had 2 number one songs). All this is cool. But that is all you better do. SING AND DANCE. Michael wanted to be greater. He bought the legendary Sly and the Family Stone catalog and no one really cared. When he bought the Beatles, people noticed. The Sony merger took the cake. Sony, in their eagerness to have a part of the Beatles catalog, agreed to a 50/50 merger with Jackson, thus forming Sony/ATV music publishing. Now, Michael co-owns half of the entire publishing of all of Sony artists. Check out the complete lists of songs at sonyatv.com. A sampling of the songs he owns the publishing rights to are over 900 country songs by artists such as Tammy Wynette, Kenny Rogers, Alabama. All Babyface written songs. Latin songs by Selena and Enrique Iglesias. Roberta Flack songs, Mariah Carey songs, Destiny's Child's songs. 2pac, Biggie and Fleetwood Mac songs. In essence over 100,000 songs. "What is this man doing?" None of the greats did this. Not Bono, Springsteen, Sinatra. "Who does he think he is? Get whatever you can on him."

To "get" someone, you have to attack what they love the most. I'll say no more on that.

The only man who even approaches MJ in taking on the industry is Prince and to a lesser extent, George Michael. They went after poor George Michael, publicly outing the man as a homosexual. Prince fought hard and made his point, but nevertheless still had to resort to using a major company to distribute his materials. There is nothing wrong with that. Prince would get the lion's share, but the result were years of being labeled crazy and difficult.

The greatest moment for them was the Sneddon press conference. "We got him." Never was such glee so evident. Who cares if we have evidence?

Michael was acquitted, did not celebrate, went home and left the USA. Best move ever. Now what is there left for the haters to do? He's gone. "Gone, what do you mean he moved to Bahrain? Well, how the hell can we get him if he's not here? Quick, get that columnist to write a series of articles on how MJ's teetering on the brink of destruction. Oh we did that? Well, what can we do?"

On the outer surface, it appears Michael is not doing anything to make money. Don't even count the weekly sales of his CDs. 15,000 CDs a week is nothing for Michael. The Sony/ATV catalog is money for Michael Jackson every time he breathes. Serious money. The fact that no one reports on the actual amount is proof of that. They would rather you believe he is broke than tell you the truth. Neverland is still owned by MJ. The family home in Encino is still owned by MJ. Michael still owns the Beatles songs through the merger with Sony as well as full ownership of his own songs. But, hey, that's our little secret.

Michael Jackson is literally walking in the shoes that no Black person has ever walked in before. If he ever writes an autobiography, it will be one of the most interesting ever. A Black man with no real formal education becomes the most powerful man in the industry, DESPITE hatred, racism, enemies in his own camps and a media willing to be bought to the highest bidder.

If Sony had any sense, right now they should offer to continue the partnership. That's the only way they will make future money off of Michael's catalogue. Tommy Mattola did not lose his job with Sony because he was a bad label head. It was a casualty of war. MJ exposed him and Sony had to cut their losses. Companies do it all the time. Notice no one at Sony nor did Matolla himself ever sue MJ for slander. Michael always was loyal to his bosses at Epic/Sony. Back at the 1984 Grammys, he even brought then label head Walter Yetnikoff on stage with him at one point. He's always thanked Dave Glew, Mattola and others at Sony in his acceptance speeches.

Sony can still do right by Michael, but it may be too late. However, they still should make a goodwill gesture, but how many times do businesses do that? If I were them, I'd still want MJ as an ally, not as an enemy. It is/was a mutally profitable merger.

I'd be scared as hell if I was an enemy of MJ while he is with the multi-billionaires overseas. Believe me, they aren't just over there discussing designer clothing. A conglomerate is in the making.

One last note, these facts that I write here should not be the only times you hear this, but the sad fact is it probably is. I was worried that Michael would go down because of the uncertainty of the jury. That's playing unfair. If I'm presenting these facts here at EURweb, YOU CAN BELIEVE THE MEDIA KNOWS IT ALREADY AS WELL. They aren't salivating over everything MJ related just because he made "Thriller." They know what's up. Think about it. That's why I laugh when I see shows like BET's "The Ultimate Hustler." We all know who that is. (How can Damon Dash know who the ultimate hustler is anyway? He lost Roc-a-fella to Jay-Z)

In the end, Michael won't be known for being an alleged child molester. He won't be known for "Thriller." He will be known as the man that fought the record industry and won and lived to tell the tale. That is a book worth buying.

this made me laugh, the media's so desperate too bury this Man, funny thing the more they destroy this man the more I admire him.

the one thing I find sad is that people tends to believe the crap that media says, c'mon Music is Art and Art reflects its Creator.

Let me put it in this context:

Elton John had some song stating that he's gay.
Queen had songs stating the they're gay. or prolly just Freddie Mercury alone...
(now these are the only artist with I'm familiar with that has sort of 'issue')
now Michael has been tagged by all kinds and loads of crap but None of that is evident on his songs it maybe somewhat evident on his personal life but you can't generalize this man, he can't even walk the streets without being mobbed so you're stupid if you generalize him.

now haters would backlash saying it's a cover up story, ha ha HA now that's pure ignorance, just try watching vids of him going someplace else paps and fans would flock.

desperation and things people do for money makes me laugh! can you be more desperate?

for the media! it's been years man years! you've been lashing him out and you've never substantiate anything from you've written. DS just an ass who's ass you kissing, man?

/forever/
